I would suggest you use 4.7 SP2 or later version. As from SP2 we use the PE from DM Repository instead from local device. This should be able to fix the issue you encountered.

Take one of the screws you are already using to a fabrication shop. They have all kinds of measuring tools. They can use a thread gauge and tell you which size, length and thread size the screw is.
