Re: Questions for Global Warranty Policies in Lao PDR and others.
>>> They replied that. the computer is under the global warranty period so Micro info should help this.
Since machines are under commercial category, local representatives should cover this, in this case Micro info should work this out, you don't need to run around. I don't know which contract your government signed with suppliers therefore I can't have more details.
For consumer category equipments, the following statment is true:
"HP Global Warranty covers HP products at the level of standard warranty offered in the country in which it is used. For example, a product purchased in country "A" and moved to country "B" receives the current warranty coverage provided by country "B" (if that product is marketed or supported in country B)."

1. Can I get global warranty service as a free when machines are under the Glboal warranty in Lao PDR?
From my understanding: this is free BUT I'd like to tell you what is free: Normally you have to pay up front when signing a contract for bulk buy equipments, nothing free in this world.
2. If I have to pay a money for fixing. Could you tell me which kind of problem should I pay for repairs?
You and your right to ask, they can't say they fix a banana and charge for an apple. Again, depending on the agreement between 2 parties.
Hope this makes sense.
Regards.
My HP Z800 Won't boot after upgrade GPU
Hello
I just bought ATI R7990 6GB DR5 for my Z800
After install in motherboard Z800 won't boot
Just tested the card in another pc it's ok no problem
Any one can help ?
Is the problem from bios ? -- I have lastest update
Which Z800 ? Version 1
Your previous Card ? - Quadro 4800
Re: My HP Z800 Won't boot after upgrade GPU
AliTaher,
The first ideas are:
1. Can you boot to BIOS? If so, check BIOS for disk mode setting: RAID, AHCI, and etc.
____When the BIOS was updated, these may have had values changed to default.
2. That there is a driver confiict in the z800.
_____Use a driver cleaner and if there is an option, use "clean install" and reinstall the driver
3. Check that the 6-pin power connector is properly set. The GPU may appear to run on the 75W PCIe- the cooling fan turns- but not be fully functional.
Let us know what happens.

Re: t620 Flexible Thin Client - Memory Leaks
Hey,
Did you get some solution for memory leaks ?
Best Regards
Re: My HP Z800 Won't boot after upgrade GPU
the ati 7990 draws just under 400 watts
the HP z800 (when using the 1100 watt optional power supply) came with a nvidia 5800 that was a 190 watt card
it would also support at the same time the NVIDIA Quadro CX card which has a 150 watt draw. the combined draw of both was around 340 watts the ATI 7970 card is 390 watts
the z800 1100 watt supply may not even be able to power this card if the 12 volt line draws more than what the supply can put out . this is why most current power supplies now use single rail designs
the stock z800 power supply (850 watts) is not going to be able to handle this load due to the total wattage and also the fact that the z800 power supply is not a single rail design, it's a multirail design which means that each voltage rail (5v 3.3v 12v) has a set wattage limit that when totaled up will equal the power supplies listed wattage it is quite easy to place a load on a power supply that is multirail which exceeds that rail's total wattage, but still be under the supply's total wattage
if you pull the z800 supply there is a label on the supply which lists what wattage each rail's max current/wattage draw is
why did HP use a multi rail supply? there are trade offs between each design, and multi rail designs were easer to regulate and get a higher efficancy rating for a reasionable cost are two reasions that i am aware of

this error is usually a driver related issue. if possible do a clean OS reinstall and do not add any other programs.
then check fo any problems. if none found add programs back one or two at a time, again using the laptop for several hours between each added program.
Re: My HP Z800 Won't boot after upgrade GPU
I can't boot to bios Red led Button turns And beep sound
Re: My HP Z800 Won't boot after upgrade GPU
AliTaher,
1. If you replace the Quadro FX4800, does the system boot?
2. How many beeps are made when the system refuses to boot? What does the manual say as to that number of beeps with power button flashing red?
3. What was the power supply in the system in which the R7900-6GD5 worked?
I can not find a Passmark benchmark listing for the R7900, R7900-6GD5, or ATI Radeon HD 7990 in any of more than 68,000 Hewlett Packard systems tested. There are two listings in Dell, one is in a Precison T5600 (2X E5-2690), having a 2D of 569 and 3D of 3346. < That is a fairly low score. For comparison, the highest 3D score of a Quadro FX 4800 in a z800 is 1104. The T5600 had a PSU of 635W or 820W.
While the HD 7990 may have a Passmark 3D up to a maximum of 7951, that is in a 4.8GHz system. In the z800 with 2X Xeon X5690, an 8136 mark is achievable using a GTX 970, specified as requiring a minimum 500W power supply. If the problem is power supply limitation, consider a newer series 6 or 8GB GPU, GTX 970 , 980, 980 Ti. Probably, beyond those card, the CPU single-thread performance speed will limit 3D performance.

Yet Another Z800 Graphics Card Question
Z800 version 2
3.04Ghzx1 CPU
1150 Watt PSU
8GB RAM
Latest BIOS Update
I bought it with a PNY GeForce GTX 285 which is...lacking.
Came into a 1080ti and think that I've got the headroom needed to use it, given that I'm using the 1150 Watt PSU.
The machine tells me otherwise. Any time I've pushed it, even with benchmarks, it goes to emergency shutdown/restart. I've checked all of the drivers, HP, Microsoft, Windows stuff, and run all of the self-checks (HP & Win), but nothing seems to be awry.
Any ideas, or is this squarely an incompatibality issue?
Thanks.
FWIW - I used to have 2 CPUs clocked at 3.04, but pulled one when I began to think that I needed to, "Free up," a few watts. I could also pop two, (or one!) of the stock CPU(s) back in, clocked at 2.66Ghz/ea, for still more watts.
Re: Thermal Sensor not programmed & cpu fans running at max
Guess I will just have to play with this computer more and maybe just start replacing parts till I replace the whole board.
Thank you for your time and help.
Re: Thermal Sensor not programmed & cpu fans running at max
ram modules can also cause this issue if ram is installed wrong (IE- smaller modules before larger) or wrong rank modules (read ram labels it will say 1 2 or 4 rank) all ram in a bank must be the same size/rank
try installing just 2 banks of ram, one bank for each CPU
Re: Yet Another Z800 Graphics Card Question
MikeArkus,
I'm wondering though if the system is shutting down based on thermal load. Have you run HWMonitor or similar to see what the CPU(s) temperatures are doing?
Another possiblity is driver conflict and running a driver cleaner and reinstalling the driver might be a first action.
In the list of GPU details:
https://www.studio1productions.com/Articles/NVidia-GPU-Chart.htm
The GTX 285 needs a 550W PSU and the GTX 1080Ti needs 600W. As GPU's needed more power when the z800 was designed than is usual today, I would be surprised if it were a power supply problem in terms of total capacity. However, if you determine the PCIe power is not uffiecint, and the GTX 1080 Ti uses the typical 2X 8-pin, consider trying a 2 into 1 power adapter; the two standard PCIe power connectors into one 8-pin, and run the other 8-pin off the Molex 4-pin. I'm currently test driving a GTX 1070 Ti in a z620 using a 2X 6-pin to 1X 8-pin connector rather than try a 1X 6-pin to 1X 8-pin.
I would note that the 3D performance of the GTX 1080 Ti will be reduced with a 3GHz CPU, but compute power should be strong. In Passmark benchmarks, there are 865 z800's tested and the highest 3D score for GTX 1080Ti is 9202, where the average for GTX 1080 Ti = 14054. The highest score for a z800 with X5675 is 8353 using a GTX 1080 (average = 12309). Even my overclocked Xeon E5-1680 v2 (8C@ 4.3GHz) with the GTX 1070Ti makes a slightly below average 3D mark of 12132 (average =12168) whereas the i7-8700 5GHz hot rods can make 15000+. In keeping the GTX 1080 Ti, consider running one or two X5687 4C@3.6 /3.86GHz (under $50 these days) to improve the single-thread performance. If the current CPU is an X5675, the single thread = 1402, whereas the X5687 is 1570. If more cores are needed, the X5690 6C@ 3.47/3.73GHz (under $100) is a good one as well.

Re: Easy Shell Display Settings does not load for User
We have the same problem with Easy Shell version 3.5.13.0. The way through the local admin account to change the display properties is very tedious.
Is already foreseeable when there is a fix?
HP Z2 Mini rack solution
On the HP Z2 Mini webpage http://www8.hp.com/us/en/workstations/z2mini/index.html within the performance section there are 4 images. On the third it shows a rack mounting solution that would be perfect for a design I am working on. It shows 7 Z2 Minis mounted within a rack tray. I am trying to find out part numbers that I need. Has anyone done this sortr of thing before?
Display Anzeige im Geräte-Manager unscharf
Guten Tag
Herzlichen Dank
Trix
Re: Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016: Installing Windows Updates fails with error code 0x800F0922
Hello, I am in the same situation.
But in the beggining all update were broken.
And I tried to delete all files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution related with Window Updates and nothing.
I tried sfc /scannow and only few errors but they are not critical.
I tried DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
And now all update are okay without Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB Cumulative Updates...
I tried to reset Windows Updates and nothing.
I tried DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:D:\sources\install.wim where install.wim is from this iso file 14393.0.160715-1616.RS1_RELEASE_CLIENTENTERPRISE_S_EVAL_X64FRE_EN-US.ISO.
But nothing.
I can't find a way to download Windows 10 LTSB image for HP Thin client T630?
I cant see it in Thin Update software.
I only can se Windows 10 IOT images.....
Now I download the latest Windows 10 IOT Image.
And from Microsoft I can download only 14393.0.160715-1616.RS1_RELEASE_CLIENTENTERPRISE_S_EVAL_X64FRE_EN-US But I am not sure this is my installation.
My general problem is to much RAM usage and 100% SSD ussage ..
Now I try to make from Thin Update Software Recovery Image with Windows 10 Iot 2017 september.
And I will try to apply this image to Thin Clietn T630 .
New GPU
Hey there,
I'm having my HP Z800 since around a year and a half now and wanted to include a new GPU into it.
A friend of mine and me opened the Z800 today to see about the PSU and how it looks in there in general (I only knew it from videos so far).
I read quite a few forum posts about this matter so far but none of them seemed to fit to my problem exactly.
My Z800 includes:
PSU: 850 W
48 GB RAM
1x Intel Xeon x5650 2,66 GHz
Nvidia Quadro 2000 1GB
I'm actually unsure now if it is possible to run for example an Gtx 1080 on it due to the PSU (from what I read in other posts)
Product no. is FF825AV if that helps

Re: Yet Another Z800 Graphics Card Question
the HP z series workstations are not like clone consumer based systems. as such you can not use their methods of determining the needed power supply wattage
unlike most newer consumer systems the hp workstations use a power supply that is a multirail design a not single rail
as such the listed wattage for each listed rail on the supply is the MAX it can deliver. if you exceed that the supply will shutdown
a single rail supply on the other hand is capable fo delivering the units max rated wattage on any voltage, which can be bad if the unit develops a short as all amps will be available!!
pull the power supply out, look at the 12v GPU wattage listed on it's label that is it's max
the 1100 watt supply is able to power a 1070/10 80, as these are 180 watt cards the 1070TI is a around 220 watts
which is within the 1100 watt supply ability.
your card is allready overclocked, there is no guarentee that it will reliably overclock even more.
any overclock risks damaging the card, and the gains from a overclock will only be 1-3 frames which is a poor return
when you risk the card for that small gain
