Re: New GPU
Yeah I read that there are problems with the power needed for the GPU's but it always included that they got two CPU's, ,thought it makes a difference when I have just one

Re: HP t630 Thin Client User Configuration Display Settings win10
I have the same problemes with the HP-T630 thin Client.
The disk usage is 100% even after downloading en installing a new version of the windows version.
Is there a solution for this problem?
Re: Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016: Installing Windows Updates fails with error code 0x800F0922
Who can explain me why from Thin Client T630 with Windows 10 2016 LTSB from Thin Update software I can't make bootable flash drive with image for Windows 7 32 bits ?
I successfully did the image of Windows 10 2016 LTSB but I can't do it with Windows 7 image.
My issue is when I try to do image I can't take step with formating usb flash drive, every time I get error of format process.
My flash drive from 8 GB is change to 1GB and I get error with format proccess .
Now the drama is with flash drive, now I can't format it to original size of 8 GB.
And I should format it with cmd:
diskpart
select disk 1
clean
active
create partition primary
assign
Only with these commands I get my flash drive back.
And now I find the way how to do it, but I can't explain to myself why from thin client t630 I can't do it.
Now from different computer with windows 7 x86, Desktop machine different than T630 I can make bootable image, but first I download Thin Update software from hp web site for t630 windows 7 x86 and I install it to my desktop, now everything is fine.
Why it work in this way?
Installation of New Ram
HI I have a Z440 workstation with CPU E5-1607 v4 @ 3.10GHz and two 4 GB RAM . I have bought one one Zion 8GB RAM with matching frequency and try to install it. But it is not working? Now what to do?
Re: Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016: Installing Windows Updates fails with error code 0x800F0922
Now my next problem is with license,
T630 is come to us with Windows 10 x64 LTSB 201.
When I try to put Windows ES7 x86 I recieve error with license, the error is like you don't have license for Windows 7.
My reasson to try WES7 is because, with Windows 10 64 2016 LTSB in task manager I see 100% HDD activities always and RAM usage is 80% or 90%, high RAM usage, and the last my reason to change OS is error with Windows 10 Cumulative Update, all other update are okay, but this Windows 10 Cumulative Update from 08.2018 1607 I can't take it....
Re: Installation of New Ram
Just to be sure, double check the specs for memory

Have you tried inserting the dimm in a different slot? I'm assuming the slots that held the original 4GB DIMMs are working, does the new DIMM work in either of those? When you go into the bios does the 8 GB DIMM show up? Sometimes you have to really push down hard to get the dimm to seat properly; you may also want to make sure the copper contacts on the dimm are clean, they should be shiny. Be careful handling the DIMM, they are sensitive to static discharge. Follow precautions against static discharge. And lastly see if the dimm works in another computer. I think it's unlikely the motherboard has a bad dimm slot but you never know. Hope this helps
Re: New GPU
for the z800 (and z820) systems HP requires the optional 1100 watt supply when using two high power cpu's (over 120 watts)with a high end HP approved video card, and either a sec video card or video coprocessor, 4 HD's and all memory slots filled
the stock 850 watt supply is for one or two 80 watt or lower cpu's one hp approved video card cd rom, 2-3 hard drives and half, to all memory slots filled
what you have to understand is that because the HP power supplies are multirail, removing the total draw from the CPU 12 volt rail will not help with the wattage draw on the 12 volt GPU rail
in a multirail power supply each voltage is seperate from the others, and you can not draw more that the max stated amps
from each rail so even if the CPU 12 volt rail is under the max wattage/amps, you can still trip the supply off if the draw on the GPU 12 volt rail is to high
the HP z800/z820 power supplies pop out very easy and should have a label showing each rails max amps

Re: HP DL380 g9 cannot install OS
is Intelligent provisioning enabled in the bios?
is the virtual install file installed in the correct location?
this error is related to the virtual install disk that is used to reinstall the OS, the setup program can not find the virtual drive with the OS setup files
Re: HP Z2 Mini rack solution
you might try spending some time with google, before posting here
Re: New GPU
Well you talked about 220W earlier, but a gpu with 150W should work, right?
Re: New GPU
both the 970/980 and 1070/1080 cards will work, as long as they are not overclocked or factory overclocked (TI) versions
a overclocked video card or "TI" model can draw over 230 watts compared to the 180 watts of the factory stock models
you will need a 6 to 8 pin power splitter if using the stock 850 watt power supply which has only two 6 pin gpu cables on the z800
i currently run a GTX 970 on my z800, but i have the 1100 watt supply

Re: New GPU
Well I looked for gpus and I'm unsure which to pick out of two. But I don't think I will overclock it anyways.
They both run unclocked on 150W
Re: HP Z2 Mini rack solution
Beleive me I had and found exactly that item but it does not seem to have a mounting system that will take the Z2 vertically. Maybe I should just stick to a pretty picture :)
Thanks for the google search advice though.
And I wonder why I never bother with forums!!!!!
Re: New GPU
unless you can get a 980 really cheap a 1070 is almost as fast, and will draw less watts, and will be supported a bit longer than the 9xx series
i see no real issue with using a 1070 on a z800 850 watt supply and a 1080 should also work
Re: New GPU
the two on 150 are both 1070 anyways
