Ever since installing the latest Intel Management Engine drivers on our new HP ProBook 640 G3's, I've noticed a significant increase in CPU usage by the Intel Local Management service (usually around 30%).
If I disable the service the CPU returns to acceptable idle levels.
Possibly related, we've had a small handful of PCs with Windows 10 experience a log file located at c:\windows\sysWOW64\gms.log grow as large as the hard drive allows. Sometimes a simple reboot cures the issue but one user with a ProDesk 600 G3 would have the issue come back every few days until we finally disabled the Intel Local Management service.
All affected computers have the very latest BIOS and Intel Management Engine driver installed. They are running the 1709 build of Windows 10.
