xw8600 with 2x Xeon E5405@2GHz(80W)/ Hewlett-Packard 0A98h/PC5300F DDR2 FB-DIMM Micron 4GB sticks/ BIOS 786F5 v01.46

Hello,

Question to xw8600 users and someone who knows what real temperatures and RPMs are.

I need to know idle memory and CPUs temperature / memory fan and Northbridge chip fan RPMs.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem:  memory T goes to 82°C(179°F) on idle by CPUID HWMonitor and HWiNFO64 and it's true you don't want touch it.

Northbridge chipset assembly is touchable but very hot.

CPUs                 45°C - 50°C

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BIOS reports       CPUs      22°C - 25°C

                             Memory   40°C - 46°C

CPU0 fan        1226 rpm

CPU1 fan        1348 rpm

Memory fan  1495 rpm

Northbridge chipset fan 2628 rpm

Rear out fan(Chassis)     1316 rpm

Front side fan(PCI)           1471 rpm

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is this correct?

Why BIOS reads twice lower number?

Also, I think memory fan should go higher then 2000 and up.

Chipset fan well known doing 4000rpm and up.

CPUs on idle could be around 35°C.

It is xw8400 replacement so some things I can compare, but info from other xw8600 users would be a real HELP.

Thank You.
