To help others who are thinking of doing the same here is some more of my experience with installing this card.

So I needed to trouble shoot things a bit becuase I never did this before and was just hoping to physically install turn on install a driver and off we go...I was so wrong. When I physically installed the card the screen would not turn on. I tried putting an HDMI in my motherboard and it would not work. I could not install the new driver with the old card. So I figured out after searching a bit that I needed to eable the integrated motherboard graphics card from the bios by pressing F10 and going through the settings right after computer turns on. However for some strange reason when turning the computer on with the new card in, it messed up the scaling on my monitor. I originally was confused becuase all I could see was a dark screen with my mouse cursor. I then blindly logged in, and could not see any icons on the right side becuase the scalling was messed up and all I could see was a top right screen. It looked like it was showing the full res the card was able to do way past 4k with a 1080 window size located on top left. I could still see the windows bottom bar so it took some effort and messing around to blindly bring up the settings in my view and adjust the monitors. I think it was somehow making it into an extended desktop by default. Once I mirrored the displays it was perfect.  I installed the driver and everything worked nice.
