Okay thank you for the answer, but we didn't get any hash code thats the problem.

HP ProDesk not activating Windows 10 Pro
Brand new ProDesk computer won't activate Windows. I have tried many different possible fixes but, the problem remains.
Re: HP ProDesk not activating Windows 10 Pro
Hello
Welcome to the HP Support forum.
What kind of error code/message you get for your Windows not activating ?
1. Try telephone activation >> https://www.urtech.ca/2014/07/solved-how-to-call-microsoft-on-the-phone-to-activate-your-windows-or-office-product/
2. HP has created an official article about the issue you experience >> https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c04640037
Please, review it and follow the steps. Try resetting the PC to factory default condition.
3. Here are some additional info >> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12440/windows-10-activation
If the issue is still not resolved despite all the efforts, try to return your PC and get a free replacement PC - same model or a slightly different one.
Hope this works for you. Let me know how it goes.
DriveLock
Hello,
like several other people here I have problems with/because of DriveLock.
Back in 2005 I bought myself a brand new nw8240 mobile workstation, so nobody except me tampered with it. Recently I wanted to put the original Hitachi TravelStar HDD back in, and suddenly it's asking me for the DriveLock password. But I'm not aware of having ever set one (otherwise I'd been asked for the password at boot up).
It get's more cuirious as sometimes it's asking me for the "HDD bay password" and sometimes for the "multibay password" along with an "1782 disk controller failure" in the beginning. I double checked BIOS, and everything security related is turned of.
The current HDD I'm using doesn't show this behaviour, so the controller must be OK. That seems to be normal behaviour for a locked HDD.
Since trying to unlock the HDD with MHDD didn't work either (I figured out a password that returned OK, and could send it the ATA unlock command using the drive manufacturers master password...) I bought a brand new HDD. When I put the new HDD in it also asked me for a password!? I could confirm it by just pressing the return key, but I couldn't disable asking me for the password (I know it's in the BIOS).
Since the nw8240 is working perfectly aside of this DriveLock issue I'm not willing to throw it away, and would VERY much appreciate if somebody would tell me how this can be fixed. I'm an engineer, and don't shun to fiddle with the electronics etc. And I'm not trying to hack into someone's HDD just my own. I'd be willing to send it to HP if necessary, but I'm located in Austria thus gues it would be costly.
regards, Christoph
Re: HP Z420 with Xeon E5-1650 (v1) - BIOS sees only 32GB out of total 64GB of RAM
Got it, super cool! I do see one important difference in your case, though: Your boot block is more recent (2013 instead of my 2011). Hopefully that doesn't matter too much.
Thanks for the new info, looks great.
One more question if you don't mind: I also have the option to upgrade from the existing E5-1650 v1 CPU to either E5-2650 v2 (8 cores and more L3 cache but lower clock) or E5-1650 v2 (6 cores, same cache as 1650 v1 but lower clock that 2650 v2).
Benchmarks on the internet seem to show almost similar performance. Although the E5-2650 v2 has a lower TDP / heat, while E5-1650 v2 has higher clock rate and better single core perform (albeit higher TDP).
Both v2 CPU-s were released almost at the same date (Sept 2013 vs Aug 2013) and same 22 nanometer technology.
Which one would you personally go for? Use case: general use (multimedia / HTPC / watching HEVC-encoded movies, massive web browsing i.e. 100 tabs at once via Pale Moon - a lightweight Firefox fork similar in resource use to ol'good Opera 12.x) but I'd also like to pair it with an NVidia GTX 1060 6GB for games (games are a new thing for me). I would also like to not have thermal issues, if possible.
Thank you!
Re: Issue with 3 Display Port Monitors
Good to know, I've been seeing some issue with straight display port cables and using a display to VGA seemed to help that issue as well.
800 G3 mini dual monitor issue with LA2405wg
Hello, I've had an HP partner login for a few years but haven't posted in the forums before. Anyway the problem we have been seeing with the 800 G3 Mini 65W when running dual monitors. This computer only has display ports in the back and when we connected dual monitors, one of them kept flickering and going black for a few seconds. The monitor having the issues is an HP LA2405wg and the monitor working fine is an HP E240. When the LA2405 monitor is the only one connected, it works fine as it did when it was connected to the 8300 USDT which is the old computer. We updated the video driver to version 21.20.16.4720 and the BIOS to 2.15 which did not help. We put the LA2405 on a display port to VGA adapter and it started working ok. We ended up replacing the LA2405 with a E240 monitor so we could run straight display port cables on both monitors.
A few days later I experienced this issue with another G3 computer running dual monitors but the screen having the problem in this case was a Dell model P2417H and the second screen was an HP LA2405. The Dell monitor running solo works fine, I used a display port to vga adapter on the HP monitor and the Dell screen started working normal.
No installation disc to my computer from work
Got a computer from the job but I have no installtion disc, but I have the serial number for Windows. How do I remove everything and do a clean install?
I have tried to push F8 when I start the computer and choose repair but after that I need to have the password for the computer that I don't have.
Re: No installation disc to my computer from work
Hi:
You will have to order W7 recovery media from HP.
In the USA/Canada, call this number...1-800-334-5144.
Have the serial number of the PC handy to give to the customer services rep.
Re: hewlett-packard hp compaq dc7600 small form factor
I keep getting an error message on starting my computer that says initiating and then i need to update either my bios or me firmware. Not sure how to do this.
I can not figure out what motherboard I have
I would like to know what motherboard. because I want to buy a power supplies
Re: HP Z420 with Xeon E5-1650 (v1) - BIOS sees only 32GB out of total 64GB of RAM
Hi, try to remove 4 stick and fill only slots with the same collor - there should be always 4 slots same solor, and another 4 in another color. If some slots do not work, you will see it - then slots KO or pin bent. Then do the same for 4 slot and test all your memory dimms.
Also check if your all 8 dimms reads the same 2Rx4 .....on the sticker, or some 1Rx4, 1Rx8 etc, this may cause problem sometimes.
And for CPU upgrade 1650v1 to something else - do not do it, 1650V2 is not much faster, not makes sense, invest in graphics or SSD , or find cheap 1660/1680v1 (and mind pins when swaping )
Re: MSI nVidia 210 in Z4 G4 Workstation
real life compatibility, sometimes things do not work as described in datasheets
seems like NVS 210 is PCI only, no PCIE, an there is no PCI slot in z4, is't this VGA Geforce 210?
so another hint to try : if there are no z4 error beeps, just missing picture, then try another video cable/port from graphics than display port - if not tested yet, it might be DP issue, old DVI or VGA works better, depends on monitors, Display port can be sometimes very sensitive and Nvidia had a lot of issues with DP protocol till GTX980ti (new video bios solved it)
Re: I can not figure out what motherboard I have
the model number of your HP system is usually found on a silver tag on the case, and most times also on the front bezel
i suspect based on the information you provided that you have a HP/Compaq 8200
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-compaq-8200-elite-microtower-pc/5037940/document/c02779504
if so, you have a non standard power supply that does not follow the ATX pinouts
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUbocXdrFfw
you might be able to buy/locate a adapter that converts the motherboard power socket to a standard ATX connector
however this system is quite compact and you may not have room for a standard ATX power supply

To run the v2 CPU's you need the 2013 bootblock. There has been plenty written on this subject - feel free to browse the forum for more info.
The E5-1650v2 has the advantage that it can be overclocked in the Z420 by using Intel XTU. You are still limited to a 130W TDP limit but the performance gains are still substantial especially when fully utilizing just 1-2 cores (as many programs do).
The E5-2650 v2 has locked multiplier so it doesnt benefit from the above, while the E5-1650 v1 - while multiplier unlocked - does not respond to any tweaking in XTU (core multiplier sliders are grayed out).
Re: MSI nVidia 210 in Z4 G4 Workstation
wrong again,... the nvidia 210 card IS PCI-E and can be found from numerous resellers.
you really need to take the time to do some simple searches before posting incorrect information as it makes it hard for people to troubleshoot their problem

Re: hewlett-packard hp compaq dc7600 small form factor
you will have to provide more SPECIFIC information while i suspect you have a early non current bios i need more information
please provide wthat you are doing after powering on the system and list any messages EXACTLY AS SHOWN
and note when they appear
you can also enter the bios during boot, by pressing the F10 key and noting the current bios revision that is installed
example,
power on, during boot it displays ME error please update firmware and then proceeds normally into windows
or
power on, during boot, memory error bank 1 detected system halted. computer freezes at this point and will not proceed into windows i can only reboot and i get the same error at the same place appon reboot
Where to get most recent bios for older equipment (HP xw8600)
Sorry if this is aready posted here some where. My searches failed to find it and trying to use that pages where you insert equipment name and etc ends up just telling me there is no software available for my equipment.
I have two xw8600 workstations.
0ne running windows 10 with BIOS Version/Date 786F5 v01.27, 08/08/2008
One running an open source version of Solaris-11 called `openindiana/hipster'
with BIOS Version/Date 786F5 v01.46, 09/20/2012
I think version 01.46 may be the most recent but not really sure... also I was not able to find out where to get it.
So, where can I get the most recent bios for HP xw8600 Workstation. And how to install it.
