You would think so. But as you can see by the attached screenshot, the software lists two columns under "Write Features": the ones that are supported are checked (like BD-R and BD-RE). The ones that aren't supported aren't checked (like HD DVD-R). The one you mentioned, BD-RE DL, isn't even on the list. So it can't be checked or unchecked.
This is a very confusing issue. The Wikipedia entry implies that the designation BD-R applies to both single-layer and double-layer. Yet some sources, like you, say it must designate DL.
So what do we do now?
