When I am left clicking with my mouse I have to click numerous times to get it to select the function I want. I use AutoCad Civil 3D and I have to click on commands and snaps several times to activate them. I have tried other mice and it does the same thing no matter which one I use. For example I will select the drop down for line command, and when I select the line type it selects the underlying command such as circle and not line, so I have to repeat the process several times until it selects the correct commands. It does the same thing on the internet browser when selecting a web address from the drop down. It just did it as I was typing this when I moved my cursor to edit a sentence and wanted to return to the original location of the cursor I had to click several times. It is not software specific. Our IT people have confirmed the software drivers are current and have not detected and viruses. I have also gone into the control panel to try different settings on the mouse with no success. This issue just started occuring in the last two months and appears to be getting progressively worse.
