Thank you.
No luck at all. Although I managed to get Windows to recognise the Z drive after installing a driver/software from the HP support page for the Z840, for Windows 7 Pro 64bit. However when I remove the the hard drive containing Windows and insert my boot disk to try to install Windows on the Z drive as a clean install BIOS cant detect it. It tells me to save the drive files on a usb that will enable to recognise the Z drive.....but I am not sure what that is.....I have the Z drive installed on the Slot 1 system board...I did a full extensive BIOS diagnostic test which ran for 2 hours and passed every check. I think I am perhaps missing a BIOS driver for the z840 to recognise the z drive, but I dont know which one specifically.... does anyone know or have done a fix for this? ... I have really spent too much time on this already without success.....just a little bit upset having a branddew Z840 and a brand new Z Turbo Drive G2 which isnt working for me. I am sure it is something really simple.
