I am using a T620 in a warm environment where it may be close to the specified upper operating temperature limit.
The computer uses a heat-pipe cooling system without a fan. I would like to know if there is any preference to the mounting orientation that will optimize the cooling. The computer us currently mounted with the thin dimension vertically. It is using the VESA mount and is essentially sitting on its narrow edge but it was installed upside down. Meaning, the attach point for the desk stand, which is not being used, is on the top edge of the computer.
Is there any perferred mounting orientation to optimize cooling? Should the "narrow top" of the computer be kept on top? I do not find any metion of this in the documentation for this computer.
