Multiple Graphics Adapters

Hi,

We currently have a HP Z230 Tower Workstation running as a Client for a CCTV Monitoring System which entails streaming back CCTV footage Live and Past. To handle this streaming we purchased an AMD Firepro W5100 to handle the graphic rendering, however when we open the software to view the camera streams the software hangs after two minutes and has to be closed via task manager.

We decided to contact the Software supplier thinking it was a software issue with the following crash logs from windows event viewer which are below;

Software Supplier Response

This refers to the graphics card itself.

When installing the graphics drivers for your system be sure to install the Intel HD Graphics drivers first before installing the AMD graphics drivers.

What is normally recommended is to first uninstall the AMD graphics drivers, Uninstall the Intel HD Graphics drivers and then start to re-install the drivers with the Intel HD Graphics drivers first.

Also install the Chipset INF driver.

Also be sure your motherboard has the latest BIOS update and the BIOS is set correctly to work with 2 display adapters (Intel HD and AMD).

Following this advice we failed to get rid of this error from happening again. I checked the BIOS settings and failed to find anything related to allowing Multiple Graphics Adaptors, If we follow this order provided it only allows one card to be active and not run along side each other.

Hp Setup Utility Version - 2.15.1236
BIOS Version - L51 V01.53
AMD FirePro W5100 (FireGL V) - 15.201.2401.0

I believe it should look something like this

But on our system we only see one active card at the time which is our AMD card and not both.

Any Help on this would be great thanks!

Kind Regards
