What is the EXACT wording of the error-message ?
If your computer cannot find any "bootable" device (CD/DVD media, disk-drive, floppy-drive, USB memory stick), then it might say "missing operating system".
Can you use your smart-phone to take a snapshot of the screen, and paste it here?
