Hi all,

My z820 has one CPU running at 90 degrees. I have been quoted £330 for a HP tech to come and fix the problem. Just wondering it anyone would know if you can buy a heatsink from a UK store?

Thanks

Naim

I don't mean this in a rude way at all but why don't you buy one online? And also get good thermal paste!!

I'm also assuming you are running at 90 degreses celcius? Which in that case is pretty hot, i'd be more worried about damage to the processor at that point.

I wouldn't pay 330 for someone to come out but i would recommend you buy an aftermarket heatsink and good thermal paste try that first and go from there.
