Check you boot block date in bios.

2011 - only supports 32nm v1 CPU

2013 - supports both 32nm v1 and 22nm v2 CPU

 

E5-1650 SR0KZ is a good choice as it will work in any machine and is reasonably inexpensive for the performance it offers.
