Let's all give IBM the accolades due them. Fifteen or twenty years ago they plugged a bunch of peripherals into an UNNECCESSARILY HEAVY PC, and the Windows-based cash register was born. In its time, it was the perfect solution. Now it is just heavy. HP should lead the way in replacing the old luggy IBM POS systems gathering dust under counters, with a post on a cash drawer, a tablet, and a scan gun. I am making suggestions to clients to head in a lightweight wireless direction when it comes time to upgrade (very soon, please God). Does anyone know of POS software that runs on a tablet?
