HP Elite 8200 USDT - CPU Capped @ 1600 Mhz

Hi everybody,

I have a HP Elite 8200 USDT which is not under warranty anymore but with an important problem.

When I look at the BIOS/UEFI, I can see "i5 2400S @ 2,5 Ghz" and, on the next line "Processor Speed 1600 Mhz".

I thought it was just an information but in reality on Windows the CPU can't deliver more than 1,58 Ghz.

If I launch a benchmark, the CPU is capped to 60% and Windows still indicates "1.58 Ghz".

I'm using BIOS 02.29 (so I can't downgrade...).

I think the problem was not present before 02.29 but I can't be sure.

I've tried to reset CMOS, to remove the battery, to reseat the CPU, to change BIOS parameters, to change RAM, to remove disk, to reinstall Windows... but nothing changed : stil 1600 Mhz !

Except this problem, the computer is working perfectly.

Does someone have the same problem ?
