secondly is the low-proflie only compatible with low-proflie video cards?
ok to the thrid question i dont really nee i i put my gtx 1050 into the pcie its working fine but im getting bad profromance would this incompatiblity be the cuase?
My understanding is that the main PCIe slot is 2.0 x16. The difference between 2.0 x16 and 3.0 x16 is pretty much irrelevant when looking at GPU's from the GTX 1050 segment and even on the higher cards AFAIR this really amounts to no more than a difference of a few fps.
With regard to the second aspect - if the machine uses low profile cards then you need to have your GPU in this format for the card to physically fit into the machine.
The more important aspect is PCIe slot power. Some of these low profile machines have weak PSUs and the slot power is limited to c.a. 35W instead of the standard 75W, which could be a major problem.
