Re: Change master in a HPDM master/slave setup

There are two ways for DB migration:

When installing a new instance of HPDM on a new server, in the DB Setup phase you have three options:

1. Create New DB
2. Use Existing DB
3. Migration DB

You can simply choose migrate DB and specifiy the source DB server and Target DB server to make the migration automatically.

You can use the Backup & Restore tool:

1. Backup current DB and data files

2. Create new DB in the new server

3. Restore the file to the new server
