There are actually two keys have to be set together:

GetGroupFromDHCP: 0 | 1

PreAssignGroups:

The value in PreAssignGroups will be used only when GetGroupFromDHCP is set to 0.

Instead of using script, I would suggest you

1. Prepare a sample unit
2. Set Agent Preassign properties with Agent Configuration UI
3. Capture the specific registry key from sample unit using File & Registry Template
4. Use the result template generated in step 3 for deployment.
