Bitlocker issue

We were excited to see the latest firmware update:

"-Removes bit locker prompt for recovery key during every boot."

Out of 100 of these PC's that we had acquired to do a massive upgrade of older hardware, we encountered issues with random bitlocker recovery screens that are popping up on a good majority of them. We have tried replacing hard drives, re-imaging, clearing the TPM, and re-encrypting. Nothing seems to help. Windows updates are complete, and the firmware or other drivers seem up to date. The units tested have no usb peripherals, or other oddities.

It is completely random. We chose to bitlocker the used space and as new, using newer encryption and older. It seems nothing is preventing the bitlocker recovery on boot to randomly appear.

Usually what fixes it is a power off and on, and it goes away *sometimes*.

No errors or any indicators otherwise. Its completely baffled us.

All systems are HP 800 G2, new out of box, we firmware update to the lastest ver, install our corporate image Windows Enterprise 10, which is licensed through our international internal key server. This image, created through WDS and sysprep we thought may be the culprit, but no event issues, and it works fine on laptops (mind you), with the lastest windows drivers and updates, it is a rather bare image. Office, some of our own access DBs, and pdf reader, SCCM, FEP, etc.

The image as said, works fine with all laptops and even the HP 800 G1 series desktops, without the USB - C. I would presume there is something that is triggering recovery on these new units as it works on every other platform.
