Where I live, the power drops about once or twice a month. Usually just for a second, sometimes a few minutes.
What I'm looking for is a UPS, that'll kick into keeps the lights on, and if the outage lasts for more than say 10 minutes, signal the computer to enter sleep state.
The WS consumes around 160W when idle, 9W when sleeping.
As I am not planning to continue working in the event of an outage, do I really need more than a very small one?
How will the computer sense that it's on battery (for it to automatically enter sleep state if it lasts more than a few minutes)?
Is a HP branded UPS any better?
