Here is the Service and Technical Reference Guide for the computer. Since the computer is older, I can't find any information that leads me to believe that a SAS drive will or won't work. However, if it were me, I would choose a SAS manufacturer and contact their Tech Support to see what they have to say. This is the safest way not to have to pay to return a drive that doesn't work.
