Hey everybody,
I am in the processs of upgrading my HP Z400 from a 1 TB HDD to a 1 TB SSD. The Windows Installation is running fault free since I received the workstation 6 months ago. The D: partition has not been damaged. However i need the faster loading speed for a project that involves huge CAD and video files.
Of course I need to recover my Windows 7 license and OS information to sucessfully reinstall on the the SSD. The online help points towards the HP Recovery manager for this.
Problem is, there is no Recovery Manager installed on my workstation. At least it doesn´t show up under Windows => All Programs.
What are my next steps? Do i need to install the Recovery Manager or do I need to buy a recovery DVD/USB stick? I have a windows recovery stick from another system (not HP) but I guess I can´t use this one.
