How would you use an NVME hard drive for media production?

Hey there,

I´m using an out the box Z 440 which I´d like to upgrade with an NVME SSD hard drive. I´m working as a freelance 3D and Motion Designer and want to use the SSD to load big 3D and video files faster.

Is anyone here experienced in using something like the Z Drive for 3D , Postproduction or video editing?

Do you install OS and software on the SSD or do you save project files onto the SSD as well? And how is the driver situation under Windows 7 (might need to run Viz RT on the machine as well, which only supports Windows 7) or do I need to migrate to Windows 8 or 10?
