Hello everyone,
I am looking to upgrade the video card in my HP Z800.
Right now I am uzing the nVidia Quadro FX 4800, but
I'm starting to use 4K footage.
I need some help in choosing between two replacement cards:
nVidia K4200 vs. nVidia M4000
I know that the M4000 is a newer card, so I'm leaning toward it.
bu the specs say it runs on a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot.
It should still function in a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot, but I'm wondering if it will adversely affect Avid Media Composer 8.4, as HP recommends the M4000 for the Z820 and Z840, but makes no mention of the Z800 in its Avid system requirements for that card.
Thank you in advance for any help regarding this issue.
