I hope you can help me in the RAM upgrading of my workstation Z800.
The product serial: SL530UC
The motherboard reference: 591182-001
CPU: Intel Xeon X5660 . Two CPUs are intalled.
The installed memory: CRUCIAL CT51272BD 1339.18 FMR - 4GB 2Rx8 PC3L-10600E-9-11-E3, CL9 (ECC, DUAL RANK & UNBUFFERED). There are 24 GB installed (6 x 4GB).
I'd like to know if this RAM is compatible with my current installation:
Kingston 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 2Rx8 1Gx72-Bit PC3-10600 CL9 240-Pin ECC DIMM 1.5v (unbuffered), referenced at Kingston (KVR1333D3E9S/8G). I'd like to install 6 modules of this RAM, in this order (8GB/4GB/8GB/4GB/8GB/4GB) in each bank.
General question: is it possible to mix single and dual rank?
