Windows 7 does support use of SSDs but there is no native support for easy use of SSDs on XP.

It can be done, I have done it, but it is technically difficult.  You can use Google to read up on that.

My advice it to move on up to Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.  You may have a specific need to stick with XP, and if that is the case then I'd give up on SSDs for now and get yourself 10k RPM Velociraptor drive(s) to load that onto and use for data storage.
