Hello,

If I am understanding you correctly, it sounds like you want to re-image the computer and delete all files from your HDD. On these desktops, you will have to run a disk sanitizer on a 4GB or less USB and boot to the USB from the BIOS.

If you install the disk sanitizer found here:

http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=4065873&swItemId=vc_98567_1&swEnvOid=4132

Start to run the utility, during the install it will ask if you would like to save it to the USB, go through the prompts to finish installing.

Then, you will unplug the USB, power down the unit, plug the USB back in, and as soon as you press the power button, start pressing the F9 key until it loads the BIOS boot options. Once you see the list of options, you will select HP Disk Sanitizer and hit the enter key to get it to start running. It will take a couple of hours so it may be best to run it overnight.

Finally, when it is complete you can then re-load Windows back on the machine. You will need the restore media CD’s that came with your unit, if you have lost or misplaced them, give Elite Support (1-866-625-1175) a call to order some new ones for you.

I hope this helps, thanks!
