This HP Z600 Workstation has 6 DIMM Slots for DDR3 ECC Memory.
Each processor supports up to 3 channels of DDR3 memory. To realize full performance at least 1 DIMM must be inserted into each channel. To get full 6 channel support, 2 processors MUST be installed.
So if you are already using 2 processors, please make sure that at least 1 DIMM is inserted into each channel.

If the issue persists, even after using the memory module with above configuration details, try swapping with a known good memory module and test because,
203—Memory module failed self-test and failing rank was disabled indicates defective meory module.
