Re: New Nvidia GTX 1080 card on HP ENVY Phoenix 860

I looked at my motherboard and there is a small gap between the existing card and the RAM clips. Hopefully it is enough to take into consideration the heatplate of the GTX 1080. MAYBE some of the 3rd party versions will have a thinner design. SO yes definitely worth to do your research. BTW the 1080 card is about 5" or so bigger then the card that is in place now so it will extend way over the motherboard and out of that photo above, however it looks like it may actually fit.

Question for Tardis40: can you please confirm the existing motherboard specs. Do you know if there will be any bottleneck with this one and the new 1080 video card in terms of performance.
