Thank you for the response. Can you please elaborate on what you mean "there may be an issue with the memory slot connection". 

 

Do you mean in terms of physical space and with the RAM chip slots? Sorry I am not that experienced  with this stuff. I take it the video card is the horizontal slot with the RAM being 4 vertical slots. So now we have the 960 in there and the version we have is thinner then the 1080 and it is not encased. 

 

If this is the scenaruo is the best solution to take some measurementsort see if it will fit and contact Nvidia to confirm? Do you have the model number and spec of this card?

 

If motherboard  is the issue. Do I have the issue  then removing the cooling and Intel chip and installing onto the new motherboard. Is it glued/stuck in place or can it be strategically removed. If so, then what motherboard would you recommend that works with the cooling system? 

 

Do you see any issue with the power supply being 470W?
