TaylorEllison,
This is a common problem. There are many CAD formats, but .DWG. and .DXF are used very often for various programs to communicate.
Becuase of the slight variants of DWG, there are in fact a lot of tools to repair corrupted files. I use tools within AutoCad for this but a search "how to recover corrupted dwg files" lists many results. The first one I clicked on was:
https://www.oemailrecovery.com/dwg_recovery.html
> the first line of which reads: "DWG Recovery Toolbox - an effective tool for recovering data from corrupted AutoCAD DWG files".
I think that if you make this same search, among the results you can find a tool that suits your needs.
You may also find a versatile DWG viewer is a help, and Autodesk very kindly provides these:
https://www.autodesk.com/products/dwg/viewers
I use DWG TrueView often, but you may find Autodesk Viewer also useful as it can read 50 formats.
